How does the Iron Nest ballistic calculator work?

It uses the in-game ballistic model: elevation in degrees equals distance in meters times 0.012 divided by the number of powder charges, capped at 60 degrees. Each charge extends maximum range by 5 km, up to 30 km with six charges. The tool always suggests the lowest charge that reaches the target.
